It’s getting warmer around here and that means switching to our fun spring/summer clothes! One of the big trends I have been seeing is palazzo pants.
What are palazzo pants?
So glad you asked! Palazzo pants are loose, wide leg pants made popular in the 60s and 70s. They are made of lightweight breathable fabric and are often printed with bold patterns.
Should I wear palazzo pants?
They aren’t for everyone and you have to be careful with proportion. They should almost always be worn with wedge or cork heals (it makes your legs look longer and cuts down on the bulk). Petite and plus size people must really adhere to the heels rule because otherwise the pants look just too big.
How do I style palazzo pants?
Remember what I said about heels, first thing first. But also keep proportion at the forefront of your mind. They are big flowing pants and should NOT be paired with equally flowing tops. A good pairing is a fitted T-shirt or a structured blouse or a chambray shirt. Balance out the pants with a solid necklace or another bold accessory. You won’t be sorry!
See what I mean?
I was pretty nervous to try them and waited a long time after I bought them to even wear the ones I owned. I finally wore them and got TONS of positive feedback. Sometimes, I guess I need to take my own advice and be brave and try new things!
